A word of gratitude
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10
We thank God for the abundant blessings we received in our lives during the year. As a parish this year, we were able to arrange various programs for the spiritual growth of our members and extended fellowship to others. We were also able to extend all possible support to the sick, needy and marginalized in our surroundings. Let us re-dedicate ourselves to discipleship and reconciliation, which are indispensable to our mission and follow His commands, to reflect Christ’s character of humility, love, integrity, generosity and servanthood.
While accepting the responsibilities as office bearers for the report year, we had important tasks to fulfil, such as the re-opening of the Kuwait City Mar Thoma Church & Parish Hall, arrival of the designated vicar and his visa formalities, reinstating the regular service programs of the Parish which were disrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the most difficult tasks in our hand was to bring our designated vicar Rev. A.T. Zachariah to Kuwait, for which we faced a number of hurdles. With the abundant prayers and support of many, and by the grace of God Almighty, Achen was able to come and take charge of our parish.
The motivation and energy behind our success during the year was the wholehearted support of all our parishioners, the Vicars, unity and teamwork of the office bearers and Kaisthana Samithi members along with the blessing and grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Many a times we experienced His presence in making things happen. We can most certainly say that the favourable results we got in our parish this year was not through our planning and knowledge but by His Grace leading us. It was by His Grace and not on our merit.
As the Secretary, I was fortunate to get the support of a wonderful team. I wish to extend my sincere thanks to Very Rev. Dr. C. K. Mathew and Rev. A. T. Zachariah for their excellent guidance and help during the year. I also like to put on record the support we received from all the Parish Organizations and Prayer Groups. Let me also use this opportunity to wish all the new office bearers the very best in their endeavours.
We thank each and every one from the bottom of our hearts for putting the trust in us and giving us the opportunity to serve our beloved parish.
With Gratitude to the Lord Almighty we have reached the end of our tenure as the office bearers of Kuwait City Mar Thoma Parish.
May God continue to bless us all
Bejoy Jacob Mathew
Parish Secretary
